Our client specializes in data center infrastructure and is at the forefront of technological innovation. They are undertaking significant greenfield projects in the Nordics, constructing data centers for globally recognized clients.

Role Description
We are currently seeking skilled Health, Safety, and Environment Country Managers for locations in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. We are open to candidates willing to relocate, as the company provides assistance with visa requirements, work permits, and relocation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
  • Managing and coordinating the development, editing, and monitoring of the Health & Safety Management
  • System for their country
  • Responsible for the execution of the HSE Management System in their country
  • Ensure compliance with HSE related mandatory legal requirements for all entities in their country, in cooperation
  • with the Group functions and CHSO
  • Health & Safety systems implementation and monitoring of Projects in their country
  • Develop, edit, update and apply risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Manage the day-to-day operations in their country to ensure a workplace free from risks to human health & life
  • Develop and execute HSE related training, including induction and onboarding in their country
  • Assisting the HSE team with specialist advice
  • Meet KPI’s, deadlines and targets set by the HSE Group Functions and CHSO
  • Support and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders in their country
  • Prepare results, presentations, documentation and HSE Reporting
  • Planning and scheduling activities such as assessments, audits, ISO certifications and regular training
  • Plan and execute health & safety related activities and schemes such as assessment, audit and Safety events
  • Elevate serious issues. Lead investigations and root cause analyses following serious events/ incidents.
  • Actively participate in meetings and coordinating tasks, participate in health-related projects
  • Be an active and positive role model for the Health & Safety work of the company and mirror our HSE Policy
  • Statement and internal standards.

 

  • Site visits, including but not limited to:
  • Communicating with site based HSE team, clients HSE teams, contractors, sub-contractors, workers on all
  • levels and other stakeholders onsite.
  • Site walks, inspections
  • Document review
  • Follow up serious events
  • Training/ toolbox talks
  • Participate in meetings

 

  • Coordinate HSE with related fields such as HR, Quality, Sustainability and External Environment in their country
  • Data analysis and statistical evaluation for their country
  • Collaborate with the Occupational Health Service Provider appointed for their country, ensuring validity of
  • agreements and compliance with local regulations
  • Participate in the Occupational Health Coordination as needed
  • Develop and maintain a matrix of legal compliance regarding Health, Safety and Environment and gap analysis of these
  • Develop country level, and local where necessary, risk assessments and SWOT analyses
  • Manage the HSE professionals within their country (personnel management)
  • Other tasks as defined by the Group functions, CHSO or as needed based on the business and operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in health and safety or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in Health & Safety, preferably in leading roles within Construction and/or Data Centres
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards in their country of responsibility and ISO45001, 9001, 14001
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and teach a team
  • Great attention to detail
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and presentation skills
  • Advanced local language and English skills.
